There were several successful applicants in 2016. A total of £7,950 was allocated to the local projects outlined below:
St James’ First School were awarded a grant towards the cost of their new school library.
Headteacher Jo Hudson said “Please see the photos of our wonderful new library. We are very happy: it has really brightened up the school and we are having fun using all the resources. Thank you for your very generous donation towards funding this project”.
Alderholt Brownies were successful in applying for funds towards their allotments.
The Community Heartbeat Trust successfully applied for a grant to support the installation of a defibrillator in the old BT phone box at the Village Hall.


Alderholt Drama Club were awarded a grant towards the cost of lighting and curtains in the Village Hall.
The 1st Alderholt Boys Brigade and Girls Association were awarded a grant to help fund their new minibus.


The Alderholt Tennis Club were awarded a grant to repair the fencing surrounding the tennis courts.
An award was made for solar panels to power the active speed monitors in the village.
