Alderholt is a large village and civil parish located in East Dorset, England.
It is one of Dorset’s most easterly villages, bounded on three sides by Hampshire. It is situated 3 miles west of Fordingbridge and 5 miles east of Verwood.
The parish includes the hamlets of Crendell and Cripplestyle and was created as a civil parish in 1894. A Parish Book was published in 1994 by Alderholt Parish Council, recording parish details and interest over the 100 years. The village has a population of 3,170 (2011 census).
