Approximately £15,000 has so far been awarded for local activities in the Alderholt Parish. The photos below show a sample of the projects to which funds have been awarded by the Alderholt Community Fund:
St James’ First School applied to the Alderholt Community Fund for a grant towards their new school library. The Fund awarded a grant towards the cost.
Headteacher Jo Hudson said “Please see the photos of our wonderful new library. We are very happy and it has really brightened up the school and we are having fun using all the resources. Thank you for your very generous donation towards funding this project”.
The Community Heartbeat Trust successfully applied for a grant to support the installation of a defibrillator in the old BT phone box at the Village Hall.
Alderholt Drama Group were awarded a grant towards new LED lights in the stage area of the Village Hall. The existing stage lighting was not available to Hall users because it was too complicated to operate. However, the new lighting is simple to operate, meaning that it is available to any Hall user, not just the Drama Club.
The 1st Alderholt Boys Brigade and Girls Association were awarded a grant to help fund their new minibus.
The Alderholt Tennis Club were awarded a grant to repair the fencing surrounding the tennis courts.
Alderholt Village Hall were awarded a grant towards the cost of new chairs.
An award was made for solar panels to power the active speed monitors in the village.
The Coach in the Community was successful in obtaining a grant to add an awning to the coach.
St. James Church were awarded a sum of £250 towards a new lawnmower.
A grant was awarded towards the cost of a new outdoor table tennis table for the village recreation ground.
